Theo Visits; Will Civility Prevail?

So. Today is a very big day for me. I got up and went through the many required steps of my morning routine, and then logged on to my bloggie site. Much to my surprise, I had a message from Theo! That’s right folks, I, Mooner Johnson, got a comment posted to my bloggie by the one, the only… Theo.

I got a comment from Theeeeoooo, I got a comment from Theeeooooo!!!

That would be Squatlo’s Theo for those of you living under rocks. I am so fucking proud. Theo has placed me on the self-same pedestal as Squatlo, and I guess I’ll now be worshiped with the same passion as my bloggie buddy. Theo posts lengthy angry, homophobic rants in comment form where he, and here I’m supposing Theo is short for Theodore and not Theodora, suggests that Squatlo is the angry gay man.

Until today, the angry and rage-filled ranters on my site have been of the deeply Christian varieties. Their comments have been religious-based diatribes that condemn me to hell and threaten me and mine. When they aren’t carefully-crafted chain letter mass postings, they are just plain dumb and mean. And that is different with Theo. Theo seems both to have original thoughts and also an IQ above that of a goat.

His first comment here contains silly homophobic rhetoric same as with what he does at Squatlo’s. His second… that’s right, I got a second awhile ago, did not. If Theo can refrain from using gay bashing as his go-to put down, I’ll give him a forum.

Also, no threats, Theo. No gay bashing and no threats. As long as you can be civil I’ll let you on. If I feel the need to edit, I’ll kick you off as I have others.

Hell, I’ll even let you be a guest blogger if you can give me something interesting. You seem to be conservative but I’m not sure. You only seem to be against things and not for anything. Tell us what you think from a positive perspective and I’ll print it.

Theo, I don’t know if you’ll bother to return to my silly little ghost town. But if you do, make yourself to home.

I’m cracking a cold Carta Blanca and waiting to see if Theo comes back for a visit.

Manana, y’all.

Mooner, why thank you kindly for the invite to have a few brews & banter with you on your blog! No Carta Blanca for me because that Mexican beer isn’t union and I am always a little nervous about getting Montezuma’s Revenge from it. (Hmmmm…pardon me but is that the theme from “Deliverance” playing in the background as we sit here??)

Now before we really begin, your faithful 3 readers should know the only reason that I stopped by was to defend my honor when you made that little “fuck Theo” comment on Squnt’s Blog. I have pretty thick skin however the challenge was made and i love them no matter how easy they are. But now we have cleared the air so that absolution can be yours in this matter.

Onward and upward… In regards to the whole “homophobia card” that you all keep playing over and over and over. I have asked my gay friends if what I said was truly “homophobic.” They said no. (Conservatives have gay friends despite what Rachael Maddow says.)

    1. Is the particular language I use offense? Yes
    2. Is the particular language I use demeaning to the person? Yes
    3. Is the particular language I use gross? Yes.
    4. Is the particular language I use (sometimes) funny? Yes.
    5. Is the particular language I use hate speech and homophobia? No

The problem with progs is that they inevitably over play their hand because they typically can’t back up their position and they fall back on the ole tried and true accusatory hate speech words like racist, homophobe, Islamophobe, whateverophobe & etc. These community organizing techniques ah la Saul Alinsky do have some shock and awe value but when continually employed actually have the opposite effect of numbing the person’s (probably entire communities) response. Labeling the opposition as using “Hate Speech” is rapidly becoming the failed lexicon of the weak positioned progressive liberal.

I don’t know what kind of “bromance” you’ve got going with Squnt (statements like that make him quickly pull the homophobe card) but when he blocks comments (his absolute right of course) you are getting a rather skewed view of the events. I realize it is very comfortable like having MSNBC and CBS do all the selective editing of facts and thinking for you, but it is only half the story. Squnt’s blog is well designed but filled with the typical Party Organ talking points you get from the liberal MSM. He gets a little flustered with the counter points I send his way. I type real slow so he can keep up but he doesn’t want a discussion forum he wants a bunch of boot licking sycophants to stroke his ego. They are there…..

Thanks for letting me jaw on. That was mighty white (oopppss racist) …. I mean ballsy (ooppss homophobic) ….. I mean sweet (ooppss chauvinistic) … I mean nice of you.

Love (in a non-homophilic way), Theo.

  2. Streaker Jones says:

Theo. You still haven’t said anything other than your party’s line. Take a stand. And surely a man that can use lexicon in a sentence is smart enough to know that his continuous use of homophobic slurs makes him a homophobe, by definition. Yes, I know that Webster hasn’t recognized that as a word yet.

Take advantage of the forum and see if you can’t change some of our liberal-ass minds. Mooner’s giving you a chance, take it.

And Mooner. Will you fix this shit. I just had to type “lastName. ?isiffe'” to post this comment.

  3. Theo says:

@Streaker… First things first we need to clear the air….What “homophobic slurs??” You guys just love accusing people of “Hate Speech” because that’s all YOU have. It must be so ingrained into your psyche that you guys do it subconsciously.

Let’s have a little lesson for Streaker because apparently he is a slow learner and not only drinks the Kool Aid but main-line injects it and douches with it.

    (1) If I call you a c*cksucker (a word that I am sure you have said) that’s not homophobic. That’s swearing.

    (2) If I say I want to beat the sh*t out of that guy because he is gay that’s homophobic. (and illegal)

    (3) If you call me an ass-pirate that’s not homophobic. (it’s swearing again)

    (4) If I say that you can’t be in the military because you’re queer and and gays are too prissy to fight in the miltitary that’s homophobic. (and stupid)

    (5) If I say that Kevin Jennings is a “stupid queer” for teaching kids to fist and he created his own little “Fist-Gate Scandal” that Obama had to put up with, that’s not homophobic that’s just my opinion (it really did happen by the way).

    (6) If I say to someone oh just suck my d*ick once again that’s not homophobic that’s just swearing (or it might be misconstrued as a proposition)

    (7) If I say I don’t want Sharia Law implemented in this country because we don’t need to parallel sets of laws to go by in the US. That is not Islamophobic that’s my opinion.

    (8) etc etc…..

You guys’ love affair with “Hate Speech” and the “Fairness Doctrine” is something else. Is it because you think that you can use it to suppress all dissent??

I told “Comrade Kulkuri” on his blog that the way you guys argue really does add creedence to William F Buckley Jr’s quote:
“Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views.”

  4. Squatlo says:

Ah, now see, Mooner? Theo CAN be rational. Not that his homophobia is any less evident when wrapped in the old, “Some of best friends are queers!” defense, but you get the point. He’s trying, he really is. Now all you have to do is get him to take a stand on something that isn’t a knee jerk position contrary to something he’s heard about from Rush and Beck, and you’ll be in business.

I’d love to know what makes an individual want to take others to task on their own forums, while being unwilling to post his own thoughts, theories, and positions on a site of his own. What makes a person spend hours playing the despised troll, instead of becoming a beacon to others who might share his political train-wreck of thought…

And trust me Theo, if I took all of your homophobic rants and put them out here for others to see, you wouldn’t be able to claim that it was all for show. You really should step out of that scary closet you’re hiding in, tell your friends you’ll see them again when THEY grow some balls, too, and come out. Come out, Theo. It’s okay. Like they say “It gets better.”

And by the way, the Fairness Doctrine doesn’t apply to private blogs, dude. That’s for the public airwaves. If you want to exercise your right to freedom of speech you can always (what a concept!) START YOUR OWN MOTHER FUCKING BLOG! And please, if you ever grow a set and do start you own site, be sure to drop by and invite us all over to check it out. I can promise you I’ll be one of your regular readers. I love the smell of right wing horseshit in the morning.

(Sorry Mooner I can’t let this one pass and I apologize advance.)***

Ohhh look everyone its Squnt! He’s jumping in here just like the pivot-man in a circle jerk. (<- was that homophobic or homophilic??) The most hilarious thing about your comment Squnt is that they are so flagrantly hypocritical. You'll engage in discourse here but not your own blog? What are you really afraid of? Offending people? After the way you and your regulars talk about conservatives and people you disagree with? Bitch please….. (<- was that homophobic or homophilic or chauvinistic? It is Squnt after all)

Go ahead and post my comments, they were comments after all that I put up for everyone to see. I am not secretly ashamed of them. Especially here, the by-line is here is supposed to be "the most inappropriate man in the world" (however I have my doubts about the veracity of that statement) Were my posts crude? Sure. Were they designed to get under your skin? Sure. Were they designed to sting the opposition? You bet. Were they also some-what thought provoking? It depends on the person. Were they any more offensive than all the other swearing you do on your blog? Maybe, but probably not.

I understand the Fairness Doctrine very well but apparently you have a hard time understanding parody and humor. You really enjoy using innuendo and nuance in your posts but then become completely 2-dimensional and concrete in your debates. But that's something for you and your sex therapist will have to keep working out because I wouldn't want to destroy years and years of progress you have already made.

***Mooner, I keep talking this way to Squnt so he will grow thicker skin, think faster and not cry and pout and fall back on his ACORN training when confronted with facts………..

Hannibal Lecter: Tell me, Senator: did you nurse Catherine yourself?
    Senator Ruth Martin: What?
Hannibal Lecter: Did you breast-feed her?
Senator Ruth Martin: Yes, I did.
Hannibal Lecter: Toughened your nipples, didn't it?

  7. Guys! Guys! Guys! The testosterone is overwhelmingly pungent right now. Bordering on rancid, if you want to know the truth. Now I am sure that everyone can disagree with a bit of decorum, right?! Theo – as Mooner’s almost 12th-wife-to-be and as Squat’s baby blogger sis, I’d appreciate it if you’d treat my guys with a little more respect. Disagree, but just be nice about it. Mmmmmkay???
